The Ryan’s Law Foundation is powered by a dedicated volunteer team united by a commitment to advancing compassionate end-of-life care. Our multidisciplinary leadership brings together expertise in public policy, cannabis law, nursing, patient advocacy, education, storytelling, and community engagement.

​​Led by Founder and President Jim Bartell and Executive Director JM Balbuena, alongside advisors Ken Sobel, Esq.and Heather Manus, RN, HN-BC, HWNC-BC, each member volunteers their time, knowledge, and resources to advance the Foundation’s mission. Together, we work to expand Ryan’s Law nationwide, educate healthcare professionals and policymakers, support effective implementation, and help ensure terminally ill patients have greater dignity, autonomy, comfort, and choice in their end-of-life care.
